1 Introductions, apologies, substitutions and declarations of interest

1.1 The Chair welcomed Members and members of the public to the meeting.

1.2 Apologies for absence were received from Dawn Bowden AM; Huw Irranca-Davies AM attended as a substitute.

2 Motion under Standing Order 17.42 to resolve to exclude the public from the meeting for items 3 and 4

2.1 The Committee agreed the motion.

3 Legislative Consent Memorandum: Policing and Crime Bill: consideration of LCM

3.1 The Committee considered the Legislative Consent Memorandum and the letter from the Minister for Social Services and Public Health. 3.2 The Committee discussed its draft report, which will be laid before the reporting deadline of 22 September 2016.

4 Scrutiny of the UK Government's Wales Bill

4.1 The Committee considered the UK Government’s Wales Bill and its implications within the Committee’s policy remit.

9.1 The Committee had a further discussion about the forward work programme for the autumn term and agreed to consider plans for future work at its strategic planning and longer-term inquiry scoping session during its meeting on 21 September 2016.
